Essential oils for the common cold
So since basically everyone I know is sick right about now I wanted to share some essential oil blends that I know work really well for me when I'm fighting a cold.
**I originally read about these in "The Complete Book of Essential Oils and Aromatherapy".**
Here are five different methods and blends for when you're feeling under the weather with a common cold.

For a steam inhalation method use 1 drop of each of the following essential oils:
Geranium
Thyme linalol
Lavender
Blend the following essential oils together then dilute with some carrier oil and drop into a hot bath:
Tea tree- 2 drops
Thyme linalol- 2 drops
Cardamom- 3 drops
Eucalyptus radiata- 1 drop
Geranium- 3 drops
Blend 2 drops of the following essential oils and use 1 drop on a tissue to inhale whenever you need:
Peppermint
Thyme linalol
Eucalyptus radiata
(1 drop) cardamom
Blend together the following essential oils then dilute into 2 teaspoons (10 mL) of carrier oil or aloe vera gel and massage around your chest, neck, and sinus areas (forehead and cheeks). Stay away from your eye area.
Rosemary- 2 drops
Eucalyptus radiata- 2 drops
Lemon- 1 drop
Blend together the following essential oils then dilute by adding 5 drops to a teaspoon (5 mL) of carrier oil or aloe vera gel and massage over your chest and back.
Eucalyptus radiata- 5 drops
Ravensara- 2 drops
Niaouli- 2 drops
Thyme linalol- 1 drop
